DERMAL FILLERS

Dermal fillers are gelatinous substances that are injected under the skin to restore lost volume, smooth wrinkles and expression lines, or improve facial contours, sequelae of the aging process.

Most fillers are fairly safe, but it is still advisable to require widely accepted/verified or FDA-cleared fillers, such as those made from hyaluronic acid, collagen, and calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres. Fillers are injected directly into the area to be treated, often after a topical numbing cream is applied. The effect is immediate and lasts for 2-18 months, depending on the type of product applied and the area treated.

What is Juvederm?

Juvéderm is a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler with several products within the Juvéderm family. Each product in the Juvéderm line features different bonds and concentrations of hyaluronic acid and are designed to address specific issues when injected into different areas and depths. Juvéderm fillers have a smooth, jelly-like consistency.

JUVÉDERM VOLUMA® XC: Injectable gel for deep injection in the cheek area to correct age-related volume loss in adults over 21 years of age

JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC: JUVÉDERM VOLLURE™ XC Injectable Gel is for injection into facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds) in adults 21 years of age and older.

JUVÉDERM® XC: JUVÉDERM® XC injectable gel is injected into facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds).

JUVÉDERM® Ultra XC: It can be used for injection in the lips and the perioral area, obtaining lip augmentation in adults over 21 years of age.

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC: JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC Injectable Gel is for injection into the lips for lip augmentation and for the correction of perioral lines in adults 21 years of age and older.
