Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelet-rich plasma, also called PRP, is one of the main aesthetic and facial rejuvenation treatments. A blood sample is taken from the patient themself, obtaining platelet-enriched plasma. Platelets are involved in the coagulation process and are an important source of growth factors, stimulating tissue repair mechanisms and regulating regenerative processes.

Advantages of the treatment

  • Increase in the production of collagen, obtaining a younger and more hydrated skin on the face and neck.
  • Eliminates wrinkles, scars, dark circles and stretch marks.
  • Increases the production of elastin, fighting cellulite and sagging skin.
  • Eliminates blemishes and acne scars.

Contraindications

  • Active infections, immunocompromised condition, or recent surgery.
  • Platelet dysfunction syndrome
  • Critical thrombocytopenia
  • Hemodynamic instability
  • Septicemia or local infection at the injection site
    Cancers (hematopoietic or bone)

Other platelet-rich plasma therapies

  • PRP for alopecia treatments: PRP is very useful in some patients with androgenetic alopecia to improve hair growth and density and reduce hair loss.
  • Vaginal Rejuvenation (Women) Vaginal Wall PRP Injections for Women is a new procedure using conventional PRP to possibly treat the following conditions: female sexual arousal disorder, hypoactive (low desire) sexual desire disorder, female orgasmic disorder, dyspareunia .
  • Sexual Dysfunction Uses for PRP (The INTRACAVERNOUS PRP SHOT, a newer procedure that uses conventional PRP to treat Erectile Dysfunction.)
